Terms of Service
These Terms of Service apply to your use of CarBuddy and the website located at carbuddy.ca (the "Site"). The Site operates through the CarBuddy platform.
Agreement to terms
By using CarBuddy, you agree to these terms and to any additional terms presented in a specific estimate, request, booking, repair status, or partner service flow.
If you do not agree, do not use the website, forms, estimate tools, communication tools, or related platform services.
Platform role
CarBuddy is a registered business name operated by Flipmode Media Inc.
CarBuddy provides website, communication, estimate, lead routing, repair status, and related technology services. CarBuddy does not directly perform automotive repairs unless explicitly stated.
Independent automotive service providers
Automotive service work may be performed by independent automotive service providers, participating technicians, repair operators, affiliated automotive partners, or other automotive professionals.
Depending on the website, brand, vehicle type, location, availability, specialization, and nature of the request, the platform may connect or route users to independent automotive service providers, technicians, repair operators, affiliated partners, or other automotive professionals.
Automotive service providers are independent parties and are not employees, agents, or representatives of CarBuddy unless expressly stated otherwise.
CarBuddy may use discretion in routing requests and does not guarantee provider availability, response timelines, pricing, repair outcome, workmanship, vehicle safety, roadworthiness, or warranty coverage.
Estimates, diagnosis, and user decisions
Estimates, online guidance, price ranges, urgency labels, and repair explanations are informational only and are not guaranteed final quotes.
Online content is not a final diagnosis and does not replace an in-person inspection, scan, road test, or professional assessment when needed.
You are responsible for approving repairs, deciding whether to proceed with service, evaluating whether a vehicle is safe to drive, and making final service decisions.
Repairs and service responsibility
Repair services, workmanship, vehicle safety, diagnosis, inspections, maintenance, pricing, warranties, and repair outcomes remain the responsibility of the applicable automotive service provider or operator.
Third-party links, service providers, repair operators, and partner services may have their own terms, policies, pricing, and warranties.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CarBuddy, technology providers, and platform operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for repair outcomes, provider conduct, workmanship, vehicle condition, vehicle safety, roadworthiness, pricing changes, delays, or unavailable services.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Privacy and governing law
Use of the platform is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which explains how information may be collected, used, and shared.
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
